In addition to being a Vietnam War Disabled Veteran, Tito
spent over 30 years of his professional life, managing, developing and
administering programs in Social Gerontology--the field of aging. In addition, Tito spent over 10 years
being self-employed including a consultancy with United Way Minority Incubator
Program.
While applying for compensation and benefits, he experienced
many challenges navigating the path to realizing his objectives. As a result, he gained valuable lessons
in the process---lessons so valuable he decided to use this experience in
making sure his fellow veterans should receive services they richly deserve and
when needed, assistance should be made available when applying.
To this end, the Veterans Supportive Services Agency, Inc.
(VSSA) was formed. As a 501(c) 3
nonprofit charitable organization, VSSA promises to provide life enhancing
supportive services to veterans and families. At VSSA, we help veterans and their families succeed.
After serving in Vietnam, Tito went on to graduate from San
Jose State University (SJSU) having earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree
and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration and Management, with
concentration in human resources management and administration. Additionally, he also possesses a
lifetime teaching and counseling credentials with California Community Colleges
system.
Tito is bilingual and bicultural, having been married for
close 39 years. He has a successful
daughter who works as a human resources professional with one of the most
successful hi-tech companies in Silicon Valley.
